On the heels of its 20-year anniversary, Florida Atlantic University's Center for Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (CMBB) on its campus in Jupiter, FL continues to fulfill its mission to build a biotechnology hub in the region. The Center has established a partnership with Riviera Beach- based Sancilio & Company, Inc., a biotech company focused on the development of novel therapies for application in the emerging field of lipidomics, to train highly-skilled workers in biopharmaceuticals and drug development. "Drug Development and Regulation," a graduate level course taught by Sancilio & Company scientists, is designed to help meet their unique workforce needs by equipping students with industry knowledge, background on FDA regulations and hands-on laboratory experience with preparing and analyzing pharmaceutical solutions.
