Design and interpret research-based proteomics studies for the purpose of developing novel, safe biologic drugs intended for human use; participate in many aspects of drug development, including target identifcation and validation, preclinical and clinical trial biomarkers development; give presentations of fndings internally and externally. Requires: Ph.D. degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Molecular/Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Virology, or a closely related scientifc discipline, and at least 4 years of specifc research experience in molecular and cell biology; direct experience with the stable expression of re- combinant proteins in CHO cell lines; demonstrated experience in the proteomics feld, and hands on experience in techniques including mass spectrometry, analysis and interpretation of results, bioinformatics, and mapping and modulation of intracellular pathways by over expression of genes or silencing. The position requires an individual with a well-rounded background in cell and molecular biology, as evidenced by subject related publications or presentations at conferences, with a focus on the transcriptional and post-transactional regulation of gene expression in mammalian cells. This knowledge will be applied to deriving a better understanding of the regulation of protein expression in CHO host cells, target identifcation and validation, and elucidation of drug mechanism of action.
